On August 8th, Tesla's long-awaited robotaxi will be revealed, as per Elon Musk's recent announcement on X. The autonomous vehicle is poised to be constructed on Tesla's advanced next-generation vehicle platform, marking a significant leap in automotive innovation.

Coinciding with this revelation, Reuters disclosed that Tesla had scrapped plans for a budget-friendly electric vehicle priced around $25,000. Instead, Musk expressed a singular focus on developing an autonomous vehicle that could potentially render conventional vehicles obsolete, signaling a strategic shift in Tesla's priorities.

Musk's longstanding vision of a Tesla robotaxi has been a subject of speculation for years, with glimpses of the concept showcased as early as a 2023 event unveiling Tesla's third Master Plan. He previously hinted at Tesla owners earning income by utilizing their autonomous vehicles for passenger transportation, an initiative known as the "Tesla Network."
