Logitech has unveiled a new speaker which will serve as an add-on for the Meta Quest 2. It's name is "Chorus". The manufacturer says Chorus delivers an 'immersive, ultra-realistic audio'. It features rotating speakers, refined with an open back form factor. It will serve as an improved VR speaker for the Meta Quest 2.
Chorus is not a standard component of the Meta Quest 2, however it is designed to remain in place rather than needing to be disconnected after usage. Chorus supports USB-C passthrough, which means it can be connected to the headset's USB-C port, while also being powered by the Meta Quest 2. Consumers can ultimately keep their Meta Quest 2 headset charged or can link several gadgets to it, along with Chorus simultaneously. It fits into the buckle of the Meta Quest 2 normally, with a user subsequently required to realign Chorus with the ears, at preference.
Vadim Kogan, Logitech's head of AR/VR, pointed out in his words: "Chorus enhances the fit and comfort of Meta Quest 2, while allowing those who love long play sessions to stay immersed in their favorite games and experiences through the audio integration in a comfortable design built for the VR gamer."
Chorus will have a price tag of $100 when it launches on Logitech's website, with slightly similar prices among other retailers.
Chorus is compatible with Meta's Elite strap and also that of Quest 2.
